Illinois’ largest street festival, On the Waterfront, announced today that Billy Idol, the multi-platinum English born rocker, will headline the Great Lawn Stage, Sunday, September 5, 2010.
Since 1981, the two time Grammy nominee, Billy Idol, has had over 20 US chart-topping singles such as Mony Mony, Rebel Yell, Dancing With Myself, Eyes Without a Face, Cradle of Love and White Wedding. Not only has the rocker topped the US charts, he has also topped UK, Italy, Germany and Switzerland’s rock charts, selling over 20 million albums.
Idol’s self-proclaimed “punk rock and roll attitude” makes him one of the Classic Rock performers who simply captivates his audience and takes over the stage.
Reserved seat tickets for the multi-platinum band will go on sale March 27th at 12:00 pm. Gold Seats (the first three rows) will be $90.00 and include festival admission. Reserved seats are $29.00 in advance (and also include festival admission) and lawn access is FREE with festival admission.
